Statement of Faith
What we believe and stand for as a church
Our Core Beliefs
The following statement of faith represents the core of what we believe as a church.
-
1
The Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, written as men "were moved by the Holy Spirit." We hold that the Bible is without error (inerrant) in its original manuscripts, and that God has supernaturally preserved it as the sole and final authority for faith and life.
-
2
The Godhead (Trinity)
We believe in one true God eternally existing in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), each fully and equally God, possessing all divine nature and attributes, and worthy of worship and service.
-
3
God the Father
We believe God the Father is the first person of the Trinity and the eternal, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, completely just and perfectly holy, sovereign Ruler and Sustainer of the universe. He is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Father of all true believers.
-
4
God the Son
We believe Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity and the only begotten eternal Son of God who became flesh to reveal God to man. He is fully God and fully man inseparably united in one person forever. He was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for all sins, was resurrected, and will return to claim His church and establish His Kingdom.
-
5
God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who came to glorify Christ and enable salvation. He convicts of sin, regenerates, baptizes believers into the body of Christ, permanently indwells believers, and seals them until redemption. He fills, directs, and empowers yielded believers and gives spiritual gifts to edify the church.
-
6
Man
We believe man was created in God's image directly by God, not through evolution. Man's purpose is to glorify God, worship, serve and have fellowship with Him. Through sin, man incurred physical and spiritual death, becoming alienated from God and utterly incapable of saving himself.
-
7
Satan
We believe Satan is a real spirit being, a fallen angel with temporary rulership of earth under God's sovereignty. He was defeated at the cross, but his judgment is postponed until after the Millennial Kingdom. He currently deceives the world and attacks believers but can be resisted through faith and the Holy Spirit.

8
Salvation
We believe salvation is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, provided as a free gift of God's grace. It cannot be earned by works or merit but is appropriated by faith in Christ's finished work. Those who believe are born again, forgiven, become God's children, and are kept by God's power.

The Christian Life
We believe Christians should live for Christ through the power of the indwelling Spirit, mature to become more like Jesus, live holy lives, use spiritual gifts to build up the church, witness for Christ, make disciples, perform good works, and bear fruit for God's glory.

The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ with Jesus as the Head. The local church is a tangible expression of this body in a specific location. All members should live in love, harmony, and unity, focused on the same purpose while accepting differing interpretations of non-essential doctrines. The church's purpose is to make Christ known, make disciples, and glorify God on earth.
